Gayle Ross is a storyteller and descendant of chief John Ross, the principal chief of the Cherokee Nation during the infamous Trail of Tears. She learned traditional Cherokee stories from her grandmother, and worked in radio and television in Texas. She is also the adopted sister of Ron Evans, a Chippewa/Cree storyteller.
