Other Resources

Local Facilities

Look in your Yellow Pages under Exercise and Fitness Programs to find retailers of fitness and sport equipment as well as gyms and other fitness facilities near you. Be sure to look in the Blue Pages under City Government or County Government. Your local city or county may sponsor fitness programs in your area and may even maintain a facility where they run a variety of classes.

Support

Yahoo! Groups Fitness http://dir.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Health___Wellness/Fitness_and_Nutrition/
Starting a new fitness program can be challenging and sometimes discouraging. For support from others in the same boat as you, try a support group via Yahoo! Groups.

One Final Note

You should always consult your physician before beginning an exercise program, especially if there are specific health goals your are trying to address. Your physician can guide you towards the forms of exercise best for you and can give you valuable information on the amount and frequency of exercise you should be doing.
