Online Literary Criticism Collection
Project Muse
Some of the sites listed in the Online Literary Criticism Collection are from Project Muse. This project, from Johns Hopkins University Press, makes the full text of articles from selected academic journals available to people at subscribing institutions, such as colleges and universities. (Project Muse does not presently offer individual subscriptions to most of their journals, though they anticipate doing so sometime in 1999.)
Please Note: The Internet Public Library is not affiliated with Project Muse in any way. We have listed these documents in our collection as a service to assist our users in finding literary criticism which may not be available to them otherwise.
If you cannot access these articles through Project Muse, you can try to get them through your library. We have included citations for these articles; if you need help locating an article in your library, please ask the librarians (they are really nice and knowledgeable people). If your library does not have the journal or article you are looking for, chances are they can help you get it through a process called 'Interlibrary Loan'. Most college and university libraries and many public and school libraries offer interlibrary loan services, but ILL takes time, so allow one to two weeks.
