Say Hello in Sign Language

  • Click here to see "Sign Language". This page will only work for Java enabled browsers. In American Sign Language (ASL), the sign for "Sign Language" is a combination of the signs for each word. "Sign" is indicated by pointing the index fingers inward and circling them around each other. "Language" is signed by forming the letter "L" with each hand and, beginning at the center of the body, moving each hand outward.

  • Click here to see "Hello" signed. This page will only work for Java enabled browsers. In American Sign Language (ASL), "hello" is signed by moving the hand away from the forehead in a forward and downward motion, similar to a salute.
  • Click here to see "My Name" signed. This page will only work for Java enabled browsers.In American Sign Language (ASL), "my" is signed by moving the palm of the hand toward the chest. "Name" is signed by using the first and second fingers of each hand to form an X in front of the body. The fingers are then tapped together twice.
